Monica (Hannu) Voss, of Ogilvie, passed away on Friday, November 26, 2021 at the St. Cloud Hospital.  She was 40 years old.

A CELEBRATION OF LIFE will be held from 9:00-11:00am on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at the Ogilvie High School with a short service at 11:00 am followed by a light luncheon.

INURNMENT will be in the Oakwood Cemetery in Mora.

MEMORIALS are preferred to the National Fibromyalgia Association, in lieu of flowers.

Monica Marie Voss passed away and went home to be with Jesus on November 26, 2021 due to complications from COVID-19 at the St Cloud Hospital. She was 40 years old.

Monica was born to Larry and Diane (Brooks) Hannu on December 27, 1980. She graduated from Mora High School in 1999. She met her high school sweetheart, Jeremy Voss while working at the Mustang Steakhouse in Mora (former Pizza Pub building). She married Jeremy in Mora at St Mary’s Catholic Church on February 17, 2001. Monica and Jeremy have been married for 20 years this year. They have four children- Faith Voss-Paulson (20), twin daughters Grace and Hope Voss (17), and a son Isaiah (15).

Monica pursued her passion of working with children by attending Rasmussen College for Childcare. She spent many years being a Preschool and Toddler Teacher at various Child Care Centers as well as the YMCA. When Jeremy and Monica moved back to Ogilvie; Monica pursued her second love of working with special needs children as a Para-Professional Teacher at Ogilvie Public Schools until her death. She absolutely loved going to the school everyday to help the kids she worked with. Monica would get excited every year during racing season watching Nascar Racing and cheering for Kyle Larson as well as watching dirt track racing at Ogilvie Raceway. She also loved attending all of Isaiah’s athletic events as well as having “girl time” with her daughters.

Monica is preceded in death by her favorite uncle Ron Murdock, grandparents Pat and Donna Whiteford, George and Geraldine Brooks.

She is survived by her husband, Jeremy Voss, daughters Faith (Brandon) Voss-Paulson, Hope and Grace Voss, son Isaiah Voss, parents Larry and Diane Hannu, sister Tammy (Gary) Shaw; niece Selena Shaw; parents-in-law Dennis (Roseann) Voss; sisters and brothers-in-law, Jessica Bos, Jake Voss, Sara (Clint) Metz, and Tamara (Mike) Ostervoss; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, other relatives and many friends.

  2. I wish I could be up there in ogilvie for your celebration of life around my birthday but unfortunately I’m in the south and not able to make it. But I hope our classmates will be there and be able to take vids or photos and can share them with me. I would Definitely like to see them. Ty
