Beverly Hallstrom, formerly of Brook Park, passed away on Friday, April 15, 2022 at the St. Cloud Hospital.  She was 88 years old.

A GRAVESIDE SERVICE & INURNMENT will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at the Graceland Cemetery in Ogilvie.

Beverly Jean Hallstrom, formerly of Brook Park, passed away on Friday, April 15, 2022 at the St. Cloud Hospital. She was 88 years old.

Beverly was born on February 7, 1934 in Ogilvie, Minnesota to parents Clarence E. and Della O. (Gripppentrog) Adams. She grew up with the Ed and Esther Olson family after her parents were tragically killed in an accident when she was only 5. She graduated from Mora High School in 1952. She married Roland Nelson and they were blessed with 5 children. In her younger years, she waitresses at several restaurants around Mora including, Dibbles and the Country Cottage. On August 2, 1969, Beverly united in marriage to Clifford Hallstrom and they spent many years together before his passing in 2014. She worked hard on the farm too, milking cows, tending to a large garden and canning for the family. She loved the animals on the farm, especially her beloved dogs and cats. In her later years, she worked as a housekeeper and enjoyed her newspaper delivery route.

Beverly loved to play Bingo any chance she could get. She also enjoyed old classic country, especially Charley Pride, and loved volunteering and hearing the music and the East Central Opry in Sandstone. Beverly will be dearly missed by all that were a part of her life.

Beverly was preceded in death by her parents; daughter Shvahn Williams; sisters, Myrtle Cathey, Cletta Ruble and Phyllis Erickson; brothers, Clarence Adams and Robert Adams; husbands Roland Nelson and Clifford Hallstrom.

She is survived by children Calvin Nelson of Brook Park, Luann (Steve) Gutzkow of Mora, Kevin Nelson of AZ, and Cindy Melton of MT; grandchildren Mindy (Scott) Milliman, Mandy, Reno, Corbin and Heidi; step-granddaughter Kristi; great grandchildren Daniel, Travis and Hayden; plus many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

  1. I’m so sad to hear of Bev’s passing. I had just visited her two weeks before. I will miss her!

  2. John & Julie Thomas. .. Our sympathies…. But, Now she’s out of pain….She was a sweet lady, at least she always treated us good…..I’ll never forget the dog I got from her….I loved that dog!
