AKKERMAN INGEBRAND FUNERAL HOME – MORA

Yvonne Duerr, of Ogilvie, passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at Welia Health in Mora.  She was 85 years old.

FUNERAL SERVICE will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, March 18, 2022 at the St. Kathryn’s Catholic church in Ogilvie with Fr. Derek Wiechmann officiating.

VISITATION will be held 1 hour prior to the service at the church.

INTERMENT will be in the MN State Veterans Cemetery at Little Falls.

MEMORIALS are preferred to St. Kathryn’s Catholic church in lieu of flowers.

Yvonne Carol Duerr, of Ogilvie, passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at Welia Health in Mora. She was 85 years old.

Yvonne was born on September 29, 1936 in Monticello, Minnesota to parents James and June (Gustafson) Hunter.

On July 14, 1956, Yvonne was united in marriage to Leonard Duerr at St. Albert’s Church in Albertville, MN. They settled in Isanti where they raised their 7 children. In 2002, they moved to Ogilvie.

Yvonne faithfully attended St. Elizabeth’s church in Isanti and then St. Kathryn’s in Ogilvie. She loved road trips, listening to music- especially classic country, going to sales and antiquing, and doing puzzles. She was an avid reader and enjoyed old Zane Grey western books. She loved to tend to her flower gardens and loved to watch her many varieties of Irises bloom each year.

Yvonne was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Michael Hunter, Irene Carl, June Hunter, Virginia Culbertson, Frances Vassar, and Ruth Paulson.

She is survived by her husband Leonard; children, Steven, Patricia Shinnick, Glenda Mullen, Helen, David (Susan), Carol Christen, and Anita DiMartino; grandchildren, Jonathan Shinnick, Diana Shinnick, Kimberly Shinnick, Sharona Sutton, Jacob Duerr, Christina Hymer, Nicolas DiMartino, Stephanie DiMartino, and Alyssa DiMartino; great grandchildren, Cameron, Shayna, Katelyn, Carter, and Brexlyn; siblings, Jim Hunter, Allan Hunter, and Vivian Straw; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
