VISITATION will be from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Monday, January 3, 2022 at the Akkerman Ingebrand Funeral Home in Mora; and again one hour prior to the service (from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.) on Tuesday at the church.

Philip Wayne Caza was born in Mora, MN on November 24, 1937 to James and Blanche (Cutler) Caza. He left his earthly home on December 28, 2021 to go to his heavenly home.

Phil had five siblings, Eugene, Arlene, James, Donald and Judy. Phil was a wonderful loving husband, dad, grandpa and great grandpa. In his life he enjoyed many things: fishing, hunting, trapping, snowmobiling, and riding horse (more so in his younger years). He loved to fix things. Everyone would say if Phil can’t fix it, it can’t be fixed. He met the love of his life in 1955. They were united in marriage on July 22, 1961 at Quamba Baptist Church. After marriage they resided in Lake Elmo, MN for two years. Phil worked Warners Manufacturing for 7 years. Then in 1962 they had their first child Lynae Joy. In 1963, they moved to the Mora area where they resided for many more years. On July 3, 1969 they welcomed their son, Joseph Asa into the world.

Phil worked at Aurelius in Braham, Federal Cartridge in New Brighton and then in June of 1964 he found his dream job as a heavy equipment Operator with Arcon Construction out of Mora, MN. He continued to work at Arcon for 33 years and then worked at PCI for 2 years before retiring. In 1967 they bought a farm in the Pomroy area where they raised cattle, pigs, and several other animals.

In 1997, Phil retired. During his retirement Phil & Pat spent many weekends fishing in Canada and area lakes. Phil loved his time spent with family especially during the holidays. He loved teasing and playing pranks on family and friends. He will be greatly missed but we know he is with Jesus, our Lord and Saviour.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents; parents; siblings, Eugene (Evelyn) Caza, Arlene Caza, James Caza, Donald Caza, Judy (George) Helmbrecht; and many other loved ones too numerous to mention.

He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Pat; daughter Lynae (Bill) Rappl; son Joseph (Jenny) Caza; grandchildren, Joshua (Terri) Rappl, Jonathan (Brittany) Rappl, Justin (Kaylee) Rappl, Mackenzie (Jordan) Caza, and Nathanial (Kyleah) Caza; great grandchildren, Hunter, Jayden, Sophia, Parker, Connor, Laila Rappl, Berkleigh Hecht, Rhett and Rory Caza; sisters-in-law, Pat Caza and Betty Caza and many relatives and friends.
