Allen Hermanson, of Braham, passed away surrounded by loved ones on Friday, April 16, 2021 at his home. He was 67 years old.
This is a story about the only time Allen Lynn Hermanson was ever in a hurry; when on December 11, 1953 as he was born in his family’s black four-door Buick on the way to the Braham Hospital. The delivery was a surprise but his resourceful father Helmer welcomed Allen into this world. Allen was the youngest of six children born to Emma and Helmer Hermanson. Allen was baptized on April 14, 2021.
Allen spent much of his time doing for others, and he would often say, “I don’t know what I can do to help, but I can do something.” Allen put his words to action by involving himself in fundraising opportunities, offering a helping hand, and anything he could do with Pete, Paul, or his kids. Following in his father’s work ethic, Allen spent 34 years employed with Froedtert Malt Corporation in Minneapolis, MN, as a Certified Grain Weigher. He retired in October of 2008, and began following his passion for auctioning at large in his community. He continued to offer a helping hand wherever he could.
Allen was preceded in death by his parents Helmer and Emma Hermanson; brothers, Lester and Ronnie; sister Darlene Olson and his oldest son Mike Hermanson;
He is survived by his children, Ken (Jody) Hermanson and Lora (Derrick) Macauly both of Braham; sisters, Linda Wynald and Betty (Curt) Thomas; several grandchildren along with many other relatives and friends.
A Potluck and Yard Party to celebration Allen’s Life will be held on Saturday, May 29, 2021 starting at Noon and going until whenever at The Macauly Farm (2137 103rd Ave. Braham MN)
