Joleen Rose Carda, of Mora, passed away on Thursday March 4, 2021 at the age of 77 years.

Joleen was born in New Ulm, Minnesota on October 27, 1943 to John and Regina (Goblirsch) Regner Sr. She spent her childhood on the family farm near Winthrop, Minnesota; graduating from Winthrop High school. Life took Joleen to several different areas of Minnesota where she worked and raised her three sons. She was always right beside them whether it was fishing (as long as they put bait on her hook), camping, snowmobiling, or floating down the river on an inner tube. She might have slowed down a little when her grandchildren came along but playing cards, board games or just watching a movie fit right into Grandma Jo’s schedule. When she did have time, a quick trip to lunch or a casino with friends was on her list. She loved working in her flower gardens or making quilts before her hands started to bother her. Joleen had many friends both in her long career at EPC in Mora and life in general, children seemed to gravitate to her maybe because they knew that she would stop at that moment and read to them the children’s book that they had in their hand. Whether she touched your heart or you touched hers I’m sure you were both blessed with the friendship.

Joleen was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother, sister, sister in-law and daughter.

Joleen is survived by brothers, John Jr. and Robert; sisters, Dorothy, Jeanette, Rose, and Barb (Joe); sons, Jeff Mast, Gary (Robin) Mast, and Brian Mast; grandchildren Stephanie, Aaron, Spencer, Mersadies, Cheyanne, Mikala, Cathlene, Nicole (Corey), Kelly (Austin) and Justin; also nieces and nephews.
