AKKERMAN INGEBRAND FUNERAL HOME – MORA

Jerry Stenstrom, of Ogilvie, passed away on Sunday, February 28, 2021 at the Gardens at Foley.  He was 72 years old.

FUNERAL SERVICE will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 4, 2021 at the Akkerman Ingebrand Funeral Home in Mora with Pastor Bob DeYoung officiating.

FUNERAL FOR JERRY STENSTROM

VISITATION will be held one hour prior to the service on Thursday.

INTERMENT will be in the Fish Lake Cemetery in Mora.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to CDC recommendations, FACE MASKS are REQUIRED at the services for Jerry. Being aware of the need to keep social distance, and not coming if you are sick or at risk (e.g. elderly, immune-compromised) will help protect everyone.

Jerry Marvin Stenstrom of rural Ogilvie passed away on Sunday, February 28, 2021 at the Gardens of Foley. He was 72 years old.

Jerry was born on May 1, 1948 in Mora, MN to Marvin and Lena (Weidenaar) Stenstrom. He attended school in Mora. After school he worked on the family farm until he started welding for
Dahlmans in Braham and worked for several years there. Jerry was a hard worker and enjoyed hunting, fishing, or anything outdoors.

After meeting the love of his life, Joyce Ann Sunderman they were united in marriage on April 29, 1988. From there together they started a Foster Care Home and took in several children whom they loved as their own. They did this for 25 years until Joyce went home to be with the Lord in April of 2013. From then on Jerry continued to care for Marvin and Missy. Jerry will be truly missed by his many family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife.

He is survived by his sisters, LaVerne (Clinton) Teich and Wilma (Paul) Wold; foster daughter Melissa Desroiser; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

  2. To Jerry’s family, I know my dad will be st the funeral but I am in Florida so I will not but just wanted to send my condolences on your loss. Jerry was a big teddy bear. I will treasure all the good times we shared together. My thoughts and well wishes are with you all.
