Judy Helmbrecht, of Mora, passed away on Monday, November 16, 2020 at the St. Clare Living Community in Mora.  She was 76 years old.

PUBLIC VISITATION will be held from 9:00 -10:30 am on Friday, November 20, 2020 at the Akkerman Ingebrand Funeral Home in Mora.

Due to covid-19 restrictions and the limited space at the funeral home, the funeral service will be private and by invitation only. 

INTERMENT will be in the Oakwood Cemetery in Mora.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to CDC recommendations, FACE MASKS are REQUIRED at the services for Judy. Being aware of the need to keep social distance, and not coming if you are sick or at risk (e.g. elderly, immune-compromised) will help protect everyone.

Judy Mae Helmbrecht, of Mora, passed away on Monday, November 16, 2020 at the St. Clare Living Community in Mora. She was 76 years old.

Judy was born on March 2, 1944 in Kroschel, Minnesota to parents James and Blanche (Cutler) Caza. She attended Bean Brook, Hiawatha and Hinckley High School through the ninth grade. On February 3, 1962, she married George Helmbrecht and to this union three children were born: Cathy, Teresa and Cory.

Through the years Judy was a caregiver, ran a daycare, and did factory and retail work. She enjoyed birthday club, making cards, scrapbooking, crocheting, needlework, sewing, fishing and woodworking. She was always ready to help family and friends. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, husband George, brothers Donald and James, and half-brother Eugene.

She is survived by her children; Cathy (Willie) Jones of Mora, Teresa (Gene) Banks of Mora, Cory (Branda) of Westville, IN; 14 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren; brother Phil (Pat) Caza of Brook Park; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
