Jean Zufall, of Mora, passed away on Saturday, October 10, 2020 at the St. Clare Living Community in Mora. She was 100 years old.
GRAVESIDE SERVICE & INURNMENT will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, October 25, 2020 at the Oakwood Cemetery in Mora.
Jean Zufall of Mora died Saturday, October 10, 2020 at the St Clare Living Community at the age of 100 years.
Jean was born in Pritchard Township, Iowa on December 11, 1919 to Fred and Mary (Dyer) Wathen. She grew up in Iowa and graduated from Superior High School where she was captain of the girls’ basketball team. She also loved roller-skating and dancing.
She married Gerald Zufall on November 7, 1941. After farming in Bird Island they moved to Mora in 1953. Besides farming, they owned The Home Cafe in Mora. She also waitressed at Dibbo’s and Monigold’s for many years before retiring.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents; husband Gerald; daughter Sandra Schoen; son Ronald; sons-in-law, James Schoen, Anthony Jones, and Harlan Williams; 3 brothers, 3 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild.
She is survived by daughters, Janice (Gerald) Tramm of Mora, Beverly (Anthony) Jones of Mora, Kathryn Williams of Mora, and Elaine Zufall of Baxter, son Rodney (Colleen) of Isanti; daughter-in-law Marlyn Zufall of Lake Havasu, AZ; sister Ann Zufall of Spirit Lake, IA; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; as well as other relatives and friends.
