Shirley Johnson, of Mora, passed away on Monday, June 15, 2020 at North Memorial Hospital.  She was 82 years old.

MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held at 1:00 p.m. at Emmanuel Baptist Church on Friday, June 19, 2020 with Pastor Michael Rue officiating.

MEMORIAL VISITATION will be held from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 18 at the Funeral Home and 1 hour prior to the service on Friday.

INURNMENT will be at the Kost Cemetery in North Branch at a later date.

Memorials are preferred to the Emmanuel Baptist Church or the American Cancer Society.

Shirley Marie Johnson of Mora, Minnesota, passed away on Monday, June 15, 2020 at North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale. She was 82 years old.

Shirley was born on March 28, 1938 at the Swedish Hospital in Minneapolis to Henry and Emma (Schmidt) Johnson. She grew up on the farm in North Branch, Minnesota, the oldest of three children. She graduated from North Branch High School in 1956.

She was united in marriage to David Lantz on June 15, 1957 in North Branch, MN. She worked as a book keeper for Koops Super Valu in Brooklyn Park for many years. She moved to Mora, MN in 1994 and she opened the Williams House Bed and Breakfast. She worked part time at Bread and Honey for many years.

She enjoyed playing scrabble, gardening, and spending time with family and friends. She liked to cook and entertain; her favorite was to host tea parties. She put God first in her life; she loved her daughters, granddaughters, and great granddaughters. She will be truly missed by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband David, great granddaughter Arley Rose Knaup.

She is survived by daughters, Denise Lantz of Mora, Sarah Charney (Jim) of Sturgeon Bay, WI.; granddaughters, Stacy Lunzer of Shakopee, Christina Lunzer (David Hicks) of Isanti, Heather Knaup (Ryan) of Algoma, WI.; great granddaughters, Kylie and Avery Hicks and Ruby Knaup; sister, Lael Erickson (Bronson) of Rush City; brother, Leland Johnson (Marie) of North Branch; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
