Cindy Johnson, of Mora, passed away on Sunday, April 19, 2020 at her home.  She was 60 years old.

PRIVATE FUNERAL SERVICE will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 23, 2020 at the Akkerman Ingebrand Funeral Home.

VISITATION will be held from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. on Thursday.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to CDC recommendations and other restrictions regarding gatherings, there are limitations to group size at the visitation. Please be aware of the need to space the group out over the visitation to stay under the limit. Limiting time, keeping social distance, and not coming if you are sick or at risk (e.g. elderly, immune-compromised) will all help protect everyone. Cindy Marie Johnson, of Mora, passed away peacefully in her sleep at home on Sunday, April 19, 2020, following a six month battle with cancer. She was 60 years old.

Cindy was born on July 2, 1959 in Mora, Minnesota to parents Roy and Evelyn (Inderlie) Johnson. She met and later married the love of her life, Gary Dennis Johnson, with whom she spent 41 years of her life.

Cindy is preceded in death by her parents, brother Jim Johnson, and sister Donna Johnson.

She is survived by her husband Gary of Mora, sister Mary Ann Brown of Newport; as well as many other family and friends.

  1. Our hearts are broken. We love Cindy so much. We have nothing but good memories when we think of all the things we did and times we’ve spent together. Though the miles kept us from being together through these last years we have always felt close in our hearts. Cindy is so very special. We will miss her.

  2. So sorry to hear about your loss Gary. I know how tough it is to lose the love of your life. I am thinking of you and praying you will see light at the end of that long tunnel of missing the one you lived with and loved for so many years. My advice, stay active.

  3. So sorry to hear of aunt Cindy’s passing. She always had toys for me to play with and snacks for me as a kid. Always made me feel so special. She was so gentle spirited and loved my uncle Gary so much.

  4. Love you Uncle Gary!!! My heart is broken as I loved Aunt Cindy so much. My sweet aunt never had anything bad to say about anyone. She always saw people’s hearts and always chose to speak kind words over everyone. She was soft spoken with a smile on her face all the time and she loved my uncle Gary unconditionally.

    I love you and miss you bunches, Aunt Cindy! I’m so blessed to have had you in my life all these years. I will always and forever have you on my heart. Love you Uncle Gary, we are here for you always. Hugs 💙
