Martha Mueller, of Mora, passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at the Estates of Rush City.  She was 80 years old.

FUNERAL SERVICE will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 14, 2020 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Ogilvie.

VISITATION will be held one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church.

INTERMENT will be held at the Oakwood Cemetery in Mora.

Martha Caroline Mueller of Mora, Minnesota passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2020 of Alzheimer’s disease; at the Estates at Rush City – Memory Care Unit. She was 80 years old.

Martha was born on August 13, 1939 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Charles and Alberta (Wendorff) Krebs. She grew up in McGrath on the family farm, the second of four siblings and graduated from McGrath High School in 1957. She started working at the Minnesota Glass Company in Minneapolis after graduation. Martha was a bridesmaid in a wedding at McGrath where she met her husband Harold, when he asked her to dance. They married on April 30, 1960 in a small country church in Giese.

They started their family in Arlington and were blessed with three children while Martha worked at FingerHut in Gaylord. She later worked as a bookkeeper in Braham; before moving to a farm in Ogilvie where they milked cows. Martha and Harold finally settled in Mora, where she finished her working career as a bookkeeper for the City of Mora until she retired.

Martha was very active in church being the treasurer and teaching Sunday School at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Ogilvie. She loved to read, do needle work, and was a good bowler. She was a wonderful wife of 60 years, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend that will be truly missed and held dearly in our hearts.

She is preceded in death by her parents and sister Joann Pautsch.

Martha is survived by her husband Harold of Mora; daughter Wanda Olson of Princeton; son Clint (Patty) Mueller of Bemidji; and daughter Shelly (Terry) Altendorfer of Lonsdale; grandchildren, Nicole Ulrich, Sara Rogers, Ali Davis, Grant Mueller, Cory Mueller, Jenna Menne, Lucas Altendorfer; 15 great-grandchildren; sisters, Margaret (Paul) Deal and Carlene (Albert) Boettcher; several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other friends and relative.

  1. My thoughts and prayers to the Mueller family. Martha was my mother-in-law when I was married to her daughter, Wanda and the grandmother to my daughter, Nicole and the great grandmother to my granddaughter, Quianna. I am most thankful to Martha for teaching Nicole and Quianna about God. Martha is with God now and forever.

    I had the pleasure to meet Martha when my mom was Martha’s room mate for 2 months, when I would visit my mom every day I also visited with Martha, she was always so enjoyable, our prayers and sympathy go out to you, now she is a special angel

  3. Martha was my children’s Sunday School teacher. She would always ask about them whenever I saw her. She was a very special lady. My sympathies to her family.
