Ebba Norstrom, of Ogilvie, passed away on Friday, February 7, 2020 at Signe & Olivia’s. She was 86 years old.
MEMORIAL SERVICE will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 14, 2020 at the Calvary Lutheran Church in Mora.
MEMORIAL VISITATION will be held one hour prior to the service.
INURNMENT will be at the Oakwood Cemetery in Mora.
Ebba Marie Norstrom, of Mora, MN, passed away of February 7, 2020 at the Signe and Olivia’s Assisted Living Home in Ogilvie, MN. Ebba was 86 years old.
Ebba was born June 14, 1933, in Mora, MN, to Arthur and Myrtle (Larson) Norstrom. She grew up in Mora with her siblings Ruth, Betty, Don, and Doug. After graduating from Mora High School, she moved to California and worked for the City of Cudahy. She lived in California until retiring. From there she moved back to Minnesota to be near her family.
She is preceded in death by her parents Arthur and Myrtle (Larson) Norstrom, sister Ruth and brother-in-law Merle Nelson, sister Betty Bartholomaus, and brother Don “Sonny” Norstrom, sister-in-law Irene (Hommerding), and brother Doug and sister-in-law Diane. She is also preceded in death by daughter Kelly, nephew Mark Nelson, great-niece Lisa (Nelson) Shedore, niece Tracy Norstrom, nephew Kirk Norstrom, and many beloved aunts and uncles, and her grandparents.
She is survived by nephews and nieces, Dan and Lorraine Nelson, Mike and Lynda Nelson, Mary and Eddie Hernandez, Jimmy Bartholomaus, Curt Bartholomaus, Terry Smith, Holly and Paul Hiltunen, Julie and John Wakeman, David Norstrom, AJ Norstrom and Katie Rund, Eric and Sue Norstrom, and Luke Norstrom. She is also survived by many wonderful great-nieces and nephews, great-great-nieces and nephews, and many wonderful friends and caretakers.
She enjoyed traveling and was able to adventure to many different countries and continents. She was especially glad to be able to visit her family’s homeland of Sweden with her sisters Ruth and Betty. She enjoyed coming to Minnesota every summer to visit her Minnesota family. She will be missed by all those who knew her energy, enthusiasm, and generosity.
