AKKERMAN INGEBRAND FUNERAL HOME – MORA

Waneta Hansen, of Ogilvie, passed away on Thursday, November 14, 2019 at her home.  She was 78 years old.

MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at the Akkerman Ingebrand Funeral Home in Mora with Rev. Bob DeYoung officiating.

MEMORIAL VISITATION will be held one hour prior to the service.

INURNMENT will be in the Fish Lake Cemetery near Mora.

Waneta Darleen Hansen, of Ogilvie, passed away peacefully on Thursday November 14, 2019 at her home. She was 78 years old.

Waneta was born on January 22, 1941 in Emmetsburg, Iowa to Clifford and Malitta (Schubert) Beesaw.

She was united in marriage to Wyatt Hansen on October 24, 1964. They lived in the metro area before settling in Ogilvie, MN with their one son Dean.

Waneta worked throughout her life at various locations within the area as a clerk. In her later years, Waneta enjoyed working with the local youth at family pathways. She loved being outside working on her flower gardens and being with her dogs.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

She is survived by her son Dean Hansen of Ogilvie; grandchildren, Keenan, Kaitlin, and Kallie Hansen; her brother Wayne (Karen) Beesaw of Bryan, TX; sisters-in-law, Marion Mattson of Isanti, Barb (Dan) Stevens of Mora; longtime friend LeRoy Nelson of Mora; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

  6. The Ogilvie class of 58 will sincerely miss having Waneta with us, today we felt that loss at lunch together. She was always a great part of organizing our class reunions and showed interest in everyone. We had a lot of fun together, so will keep those happy memories in mind always.
