AKKERMAN INGEBRAND FUNERAL HOME – MORA

Robert Sharratt, of Ogilvie, MN, passed away on Tuesday, September 24, 2019.  He was 83 years old.

FUNERAL SERVICE will be held on Saturday, September 28th at 11:00 a.m. at Ogilvie United Methodist Church in Ogilvie.

VISITATION will be on Friday, September 27th from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Akkerman Ingebrand Funeral Home in Mora; plus one hour prior to the funeral on Saturday at the church.

INTERMENT will be at Graceland Cemetery in Ogilvie.

Robert Eugene Sharratt, of Ogilvie, Minnesota, passed away on Tuesday, September 24, 2019 in the comfort of his home. He was 83 years old.

He leaves his loving wife, Grace; daughter Jill (Russ) Bracewell; son Mark (Annette) Sharratt; daughter Robin (Charles) Murphy; five grandchildren, Ryan (Susi) Bracewell, Craig Bracewell, Cynthia (Charles) Cooper, Amber (Brian) Hagle, Ashley (Cody) Johnson, and Austin Snyder; seven great-grandchildren, Nathan Hagle, Ava Hagle, (unborn) Baby Johnson, Ryder Bracewell, Chance Bracewell, Natalie Cooper, Evelyn Cooper.

Bob was born on November 5, 1935 and was preceded in death by his parents Maurice and Vivian (Powell) Sharratt. He grew up in Ogilvie the second of four children. He leaves behind his brothers, Bill (Ruth) Sharratt, Larry (Sandy) Sharratt and sister Joyce Stobb.

Bob graduated from Ogilvie High School in 1953. Following graduation Bob served in the U.S. Army. After serving, Bob attended Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona, Florida. He graduated in 1960 and worked for North Central Airlines in Minneapolis until 1967. He then moved his family to the farm north of Ogilvie where he raised beef and pigs. He later owned and operated a berry business and a machining business. Bob had a long running passion for airplanes. He owned and operated a Mooney Super 21. He flew friends and family all over the United States.
