Jillaine “Jill” Johnson, of Brook Park, passed away on Tuesday, September 17, 2019 at her home.  She was 71 years old.

In keeping with Jill’s wishes, no services will be held.

Jillaine “Jill” Kay Johnson passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 17, 2019 with her dearest love, Galen, by her side. She was 71 years old.

Jill was born on February 24, 1948 in Rush City, MN to Harold and Winnie (Danger) Johnson. She grew up with three brothers and one sister. She attended school from 1954 to 1966. In 1968 she married Lennie Johnson and became the beloved mother of Dale, Brett and Jack.

In 1980 she met a dear and devoted man, Galen Graber, who took loving care of her. Jill and Galen spent the last 39 years together on the farm raising their children and grandchildren.

Jill worked at Lakes and Pines for 33 years as an Energy Housing Administrative Assistant. She lived with gratitude and generosity. Her selfless acts were in abundance, dropping everything to take care of someone else. She made everyone feel special and loved. The whistle of a “Toot-Too” when you walked through the door was the evidence that “Grandma JJ” already knew you were there. It’s hard to convey how much she loved and appreciated time with her family.

Jill enjoyed unique and rustically elegant items. She patiently saved up her hard earned dollars in anticipation of a purchase to give to her loved ones as gifts or to adorn her and Galen’s farm. She loved her flower gardens and enjoyed picking a bouquet or digging up plants to share with family and friends. Her kind and gentle spirit will remain with all those she loved. We will mourn her passing but celebrate her life and long awaited reunion with her son, Jack. God has you in heaven; we have you in our hearts.

She is preceded in death by her parents; son Jack and other loved ones.

She is survived by her dear Galen Graber; sons, Dale (Kimberlee) Johnson, Brett Johnson; Galen’s daughter Angie (Dave) Gillette; grandchildren, Hayden, Gage, Brylee and Jace Johnson, Dalton and Austin Gillette; her brothers, Gerald, Verlyn (Kathy) and Wayne “TT” (Joanne) Johnson; sister Jackie (Wayne) and many other family members and friends.

In keeping with the simplicity of living life with those she loved, Jill has requested a private and simple graveside service.

  1. I have been in denial to hear of my high school friend and later Roommate when we went to seek our fortune! I now treasure the Birthday call a few years ago that I received from Jill– telling me she always remembered mine and Sis’s birthdays in August. She such a loving and kind friend for many years until family and miles came between us– tho they should not have. Our sympathy to all the siblings. You were all so warm when I got to stay over. I feel like a hole is im my middle and I am damning myself for not just making the time to go and see her. I didn’t realize, Angie G from church how lucky you and your family were to have my Jill in your life. I guess we were all lucky knowing that woman. May she rest in peace and sit at the feet of Jesus. (My maiden name was Lofgren.)

  2. Jill was my big sister, we lived across the road and her and I and Jackie made a team. Always good to me, at the time I had 3 brothers so she was my sister, swung from her Dads hay loft, hid from the boys, all fun kid things. Saw her several years ago, met Galen and some of her Gandkids. She was still beautiful and thoughtful. Thinking of her and her siblings. Rest in Peace Jill, I know Jack will love to see you again.
