Mable Reynolds, of Mora (Knife Lake area), passed away on Saturday, August 31, 2019 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.  She was 75 years old.

FUNERAL SERVICE will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, September 5, 2019 at the Hillman Baptist Church in rural Mora with Randy Strom officiating.

VISITATION will be held from 4:00-7:00 pm on Wednesday, September 4th at the Akkerman Ingebrand Funeral Home in Mora and again 1 hour prior to the service on Thursday at the church.

INTERMENT will be in the Oakwood Cemetery in Mora.

Mable (Masie) J. Nettie Reynolds, of the Knife Lake area in Mora, passed away on Saturday, August 31, 2019 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis as a result of heart failure. She was 75 years old.

Masie was born on July 3, 1944 in Rush City, Minnesota to parents Clarence and Hazel (Lindo) Bjork. She grew up in Sunrise, MN where she helped at the family gas station. She met her future husband Richard in Almelund, MN. After they were married they moved to the Knife Lake Area north of Mora where they farmed and raised their 10 children.

Masie loved being with her family and friends, playing bingo or cards with them. She had a love for all animals, especially her dog, Rambo.

Masie was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She had the kindest heart. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She had the most genuine soul. It gives her family great strength and comfort to know she is with God, her husband Richard and her son Kevin.

Masie was preceded in death by her parents; step-father Kenny Lehman; husband Richard; son Kevin; sons-in-law Jack Backlund and John Sershon; sister-in-law Bertha Bjork; brother-in-law Lyle Medin.

She is survived by 9 children Connie (Kenny) Ostenson of Mora, Carol Backlund of Fridley, Colleen Cox of Grasston, Richard Reynolds Jr of Mora, Virginia (Daniel) Strom of Mora, Melissa Ballard of Hinckley, Nathan (Jocelyn) Reynolds of Mora, Harlan Reynolds of Mora, Lyle (Crystal) Reynolds of Mora; 19 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren; siblings, Jerry (Mary) Bjork of Sunrise, Delores Medin of Wyoming, Michael (Vilma) Bjork of St. Cloud, and Rose (Dan) Valez of North Branch; plus many nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

  4. Well Gertrude, (that is what I called my sister-in-law, it is a inside joke between Mable and me. I love you and will miss you, I know you are whistling in heaven, you loved to whistle. You were a good wife, mother and grandmother. To Mables family she will always be in your heart and memories. Wish I could be with you as you go through this.
