Vesta Lou Keller, of Braham, passed away on Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at GracePoint Crossing in Cambridge.  She was 80 years old.

CELEBRATION OF LIFE will be held on Tuesday, September 3, 2019 from 4:00- 6:00 p.m  at Rock Ingebrand Funeral Home in Braham; with a SERVICE starting at 6:00 p.m. with Rev. Mary Fiel officiating.

INURNMENT will be at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery at a later date.

Vesta Lou Keller, of Braham, passed away on Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at GracePointe Crossing in Cambridge. MN. She was 80 years, 2 months, and 15 days old.

Vesta was born on June 12, 1939 to parents Harlan and Eveline (Paulson) Williams in Herman, Minnesota. She was the oldest of 16 siblings. She came from a large family; the oldest of 16 children. She grew up in Stacy Minnesota. She dropped out of school in the ninth grade to help her mom at home but was proud to earn her GED. She married Raymond Keller on June 25th, 1965. They lived in Braham where they farmed for many years. To this union two children were born.

Vesta worked at the Cambridge State Hospital for 45 years before retiring. She spent her whole life taking care of people from her patients at work, her children or her siblings. Vesta also enjoyed gardening which was evident in the many flower gardens she had in her yard. She enjoyed spending time and visiting with her family. After retirement she and Raymond spent their winters in Lakeland, Florida and their summers in Minnesota, having family and friends in both locations.

Vesta is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Michael and Steven, sister Georgeann, and other family members.

She is survived by her husband, Raymond Keller, son, Todd (Sandi) Keller of Cambridge, daughter Tracy Keller of Cambridge, 6 grandchildren, Brennan (Jess) Keller, Bronson Keller, Brian Keller, Abby Keller, Rashanda Keller, and Tara Keller; 2 great grandchildren, Davianna and Jamison Keller; siblings, Janice Humble, Diane (Axel) Nelson, June (Harold) Carr, Sharon Cooper, Harletta (Arlan) Erickson, Harlan Jr (Kathy) Williams, Tom Williams, Linda Williams, Bill Brinkman, Vicki Williams, Ellen Williams, and Amy Williams; numerous other family members and friends.

  4. I am so sorry. I worked at the state hospital with Vesta, way back when she was expecting Tracy. She was always so nice to me.
    In the rural neighborhood my family grew up in, we knew all the neighbors, it seemed, and many of them married each other. The Keller’s , Williamses, Hansons, Dobbelings, Tipp’s, Johnson’s, and my family, the Collin’s.
    Fond memories of friendships.
