Laurel Ann Livingston, of Grasston, passed away on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at her home. She was 73 years old.

MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 8, 2019 at the St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church in Braham with Rev. Tim Renstrom officiating.

MEMORIAL VISITATION will be held 1 hour prior to the service at the church.

INURNMENT will be in the Trinity Cemetery in Tolley, North Dakota.

In lieu of flowers, Memorials are preferred to St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church.

Laurel Ann (Raap) Livingston, of Grasston, MN; passed away peacefully in her home on Saturday, May 18, 2019 while surrounded by her family. She was 73 years old.

Laurel was raised on the family farm near Tolley, ND and was active in the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran church where she was baptized (1946), confirmed (1960) and married (1968). After graduating from high school (1964), she pursued two bachelor’s degrees which she earned after only three years of study (1968). Thereafter, she admirably began a career of teaching special education students which would span over the next 38 years.

Laurel loved music, growing flowers, traveling, cooking, her pets, her home, and most importantly her church where she graciously served many years as the choir director.

Laurel is preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Leona (Weise) Raap; and her brother Charles Raap.

Laurel will be sorely missed by her husband, Gary; her sons Jonathon and Jereme (Jarissa); her brother Donald (Kathy) Raap; her sister Judy (Harvey) Popinga; father and mother-in-law Clarke and LaVera (Munch) Livingston; brother-in-law Allan Livingston; and many other relatives and friends. She earned respect, admiration and love from many, many people.

  1. You were such a sweet, kind, caring, humorous and faithful child of God. You had beauty from the inside out and were such a delight to all. You will be sorely missed by those you left behind but I know you are smiling, pain free and sitting with Jesus by your side. I treasure the memories we had. Don’t forget to save me a room across the hall from you in heaven! I will see again, my dear and loving friend!

  2. My deepest sympathies to all of the Livingston family. She always had a smile and was always so nice to everyone. Although its been many years I still remember how she always treated me so kind.

  8. My deepest condolences goes out to mrs. Livingston’s family. Mrs Livingston was my favorite teacher growing up in Braham. She has made biggest impact on my life . I will never forget her.
