He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister June Strandlund; and brother William Grundberg.

Kert was a veteran serving in the Army from 1950-1953 with an honorable discharge. Kert met Marie at the Fish Lake roller rink just after he was discharged from the Army. They married in October of 1960 and made Braham their home to this day.

Kert spent his entire career working in rubber manufacturing at Dahlman and CamCo until he retired. He spent his retirement keeping busy; he was not one to sit still. Up until the end he was volunteering his time working for the community at the Braham Event Center. He will be missed by many.
