Idella Rose Piescher, of Mora, passed away on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at the St. Clare Living Community in Mora. She was 92 years old.

Idella was born on April 8, 1926 in Courtenay, North Dakota to parents Joseph and Mary (Miller) Mathews. The family moved to Wimbledon, ND where Idella attended school before moving again to Leo, ND where she completed her schooling.

As a young adult, the family moved to East Grand Forks, MN and Idella met Lawrence Piescher. They were married on October 18, 1949 at the Grace Lutheran Church in Mora. They made their home in East Grand Forks for several years before purchasing a farm near Knife Lake north or Mora. Idella helped Lawrence on the family farm and raised two children. She loved spending time outdoors; tending to her large vegetable garden and flower beds or simply watching the birds. She loved to go fishing with the grandkids.

In November of 1990, Lawrence passed away. Idella spent her final years at the St. Clare Living Community in Mora.

Idella is preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister Lois (Wallace) Anderson, brother Burton, and brother-in-law Laurence Reopelle.

She is survived by her children, Ron (Debbie) and Rosemarie; grandsons, Ryan (Kristine), Chad (Amy Pearson), and Matt; great grandchildren, Zach, Calvin, Callan, and Kenzley; sister Louanna Reopelle; many other relatives and friends.
