Frances Edith Stromquist, of Braham, died on Sunday, August 26, 2018 at Cambridge Medical Center in Cambridge. She was 94 years old.

She was born to Edith (Weidstrand) and Gust Christenson on July 21, 1924. Frances was raised in East Rock Creek, Minnesota, on the Christenson farm as a young woman.

Frances worked at a dress shop and the Rush City Bakery. She met her husband Fillmore at the bakery; he would come in and eat even an old stale cookie just to see her. They married on June 8, 1949 and she started the career she was born to do, being a wife, and mother. Frances loved every household chore; it was a must to have a clean house, she loved to be in her kitchen, she was a talented seamstress, and she was very musical. She was always ready to give a helping hand and advice.

Frances was preceded in death by her parents, husband Fillmore, infant son Dennis H. Stromquist, brothers Harry, Clarence, Wendell and Arnold Christenson, sisters-in law Peggy and Jean Christenson.

Frances is survived by her loving children, Jane (Eugene) Haugaard, Dale Stromquist (former wife Donna); Brian (Lynn) Stromquist; grandchildren, Delaine (Tommy) Foster; Diane (Adam) Crow, Dale (Lisa) Stromquist and Parker Stromquist; great grandchildren, Kiya, Zayda, Ellee, Maddy, Dale “Spike”, Dalanna and Daphne; plus many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
