Mildred “Millie” Fern Hendershot, of Mora, passed away on Sunday, August 19, 2018 at Signe and Olivia’s Assisted Living facility in rural Ogilvie. She was 93 years old.

Millie was born on June 26, 1925 in the family home north of Ogilvie. She was united in marriage to Ronald Hendershot in Candle Light Service at Grace Lutheran Church on Thursday, April 6, 1944. They were the parents of four children: Connie, Judy, Jesse and Tyrone.

Ron and Millie had a small farm for many years with cattle, sheep, horses, turkeys and geese. They really enjoyed their time spent on their farm. Every one of their cows and calves had their own name!!

She was employed at Fingerhut for nearly 40 years. She enjoyed fishing and camping but most of all her passion was deer hunting.

Millie loved the family get-togethers at Jesse and Tammy’s where birthdays, holidays and wonderful bar-b-ques were held. She was known for making the best potato salad.

Millie was the last survivor of her 13 siblings. She is also preceded in death by her parents, Allan and Sarah (Richardson) Blowers; husband Ronald; son Tyrone; daughter Connie and granddaughter Cindy Caswell.

She is survived by her son Jesse (Tammy) Hendershot; daughter Judy (Terry) Stolquist; son-in-law Gary Caswell; 7 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren; plus nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
