Donna met the love of her life, John Lindstrom, while working at the former Winston and Newall Co.; now Supervalu Inc. They had planned on a November wedding but after attending a friend’s wedding in August they decided they couldn’t wait. So, on August 14, 1948 they were married by a Justice of the Peace in Anoka County. Her parents insisted on them having a traditional wedding, so they “repeated” their wedding vows in a beautiful church ceremony on November 24, 1948.

Donna was a woman who loved family and friends unconditionally. She had friendships that began in grade school and lasted all her life. Everyone who knew her; knew they were loved. In the short time she resided at Maranatha Place she continued to make new friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband John, her parents and her sister Lawayne.

Donna is survived by her children, Terry (Steve) Karsky, Sandi Davis, John (Susan) Lindstrom, and Patty (Dennis) Nelson; 12 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren; sister Verle (Bob) Ktytor; sister-in-law Lorraine Hygrell; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

So sorry for you to hear of your Mother’s going to glory. Not having a mother to call and relate thoughts and happenings to is difficult. Look to the Lord, He will see you through.

My thoughts are with the Lindstrom family. In the bible we find hope and comfort. Ps. 34:18 “God is close to the brokenhearted; he saves those crushed in spirit.”

I am so sorry to hear of Donna’s passing. My mom has lost her very dearest friend since grade school. I pray that Donna is smiling into the loving face of God. God bless you all.
