VISITATION will be held from Noon until 1:00 pm. at the church.

INTERMENT will be in Lewis Lake Memorial Gardens.

Alice Reed, of Rock Creek, passed away on Friday, June 8, 2018 at her home. She was 4 years old.

Alice was created to, in her own small way, show us something of what her magnificent Creator looks like. This she did incredibly and effortlessly well. She was filled with an invincible and infectious joy that manifested itself in beautiful laughter, luminescent smiles, and “cozies” that could melt away the soul’s troubles.

Knowing and loving Alice was richly repaid by being known and loved by her. Her winsome personality instantly secured her own unique place in our family’s attention and affection. Alice loved nothing more than being with her family – playing on a workbench with Dad in the shop, sitting on the countertop helping Mom bake, playing with Jojo on the Xbox, or taking a journey with her sisters and their toys into a wonderland of their combined imagination.

Alice only lived 1,717 days, but she lived them fully and well, loving and being loved. It seems to me in her brief life she made an imprint that anyone who lives a long life might well envy. If it ever occurred to Alice that life wasn’t fair or that her life was particularly difficult, she said nothing, simply trusting her parents to care for her here, and her Jesus to care for her there.

Alice is survived by her parents Joe and Michele Reed; siblings Natalie, Joseph, Emily, Kylie, and Violet; grandparents Dan and Wendy Packa, Randy and Debbie Reed; great grandparents Carl and Rosemarie Voight and Howard and Shirley Reed; zillions of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
