Warnie Nyman Sr, of Hinckley, formerly of Braham, passed away on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at Elderwoods of Hinckley. He was 87 years old.
A MEMORIAL VISITATION will be held on Sunday, April 29th from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at Rock Ingebrand Funeral Home in Braham.
Warnie William Nyman Sr., of Hinckley, formerly of Braham, passed away on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at the Elderwood Assisted Living in Hinckley. He was 87 years old.
Warnie was born on August 9, 1930 in Braham, Minnesota to parents Roy William and Lottie Charlotte (Engquist) Nyman. He grew up in Stanchfield and helped his parents on the family farm.
Warnie was united in marriage to Jean Lawrence in 1949. They were blessed with seven children and raised them in the Stanchfield area. The couple later separated in 1973. Warnie worked as an auto mechanic for most of his life. He worked at a number of different shops in Cambridge, Braham, and the twin cities and there wasn’t anything he couldn’t fix. He loved to tinker with all types of cars, trucks, and tractors. He also loved to mow grass. In the summer of 2015, Warnie moved to the Elderwoods Assisted Living in Hinckley where his spent his final years.
Warnie is preceded in death by his parents; sons, Warnie Jr and Calvin; grandson Calvin Nyman Jr.; great grandson Jonathan Carter; and brothers, Ralph and James Nyman
He is survived by his children, Kenneth (Vicki) of East Bethel, Barbara (Wayne) Carter of Brook Park, Susan (Richard) Wentworth of Brunswick, Pearl Mitchell of Blackduck, and Arlene (Bill) Koebernick of Blackduck; daughter-in-law, Jeanette Nyman of Nebraska; brother Paul (Sharon) Nyman of Stanchfield; sister Gladys Woodburn of Pine City; sister-in-law Jean Nyman; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
