Mary Louise Eklund, of Stanchfield, Minnesota passed away on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at her home. She was 87 years old.

Mary was born on November 17, 1930 in Nessel Township to parents George and Alice (Carlson) Forsberg. She attended country school, later graduating from Rush City High School in 1948. After high school, Mary worked as a secretary for several years in Minneapolis.

Mary helped with the milking chores and feeding the calves all while making sure that all “five” daily meals were ready for the family and anyone else who happened to stop by the farm. Mary loved to tend to her flowers and raspberry bushes. She enjoyed all the activities her children and grandchildren were involved in and helped in any way she could.

Mary was a lifelong member of the Calvary Lutheran Church and served in countless ways with the Ladies Aide, alter guild, church council, bible studies, teaching Sunday School, and helping with numerous church meals over the years. Mary was devoted to her faith and her family and she will be dearly missed.
