Ardyce Heikes passed away at her home in Ogilvie, MN on August 14, 2017. She was 76 years old.

Born Ardyce Vianne Hoglund on July 23, 1941, she was the oldest child of Maurice Hoglund and his wife, Gladys (Pederson), both of whom preceded her in death.

While working in Minneapolis Ardyce met the man she would spend her life with, marrying Warren Heikes in December of 1963. They began their loving partnership together in California but soon returned to Minnesota, purchasing their first farm in the Sturgeon Lake area. In 1970 they moved to their present farm in Ogilvie.

Their 53 year shared journey was blessed by three children; Todd Heikes of Brainerd, Greg Heikes of Onamia and Susan Whitman (Scott) of North Branch. Ardyce was a loving mother and devoted grandmother to Carter and Madison, all of whom were a constant source of joy, pride and love, providing memories that will endure for those who knew her and loved her in return.

Ardyce and Warren also opened their hearts and home to foster children who have stayed in contact through the years, a testimony to her kind and generous spirit.

Ardyce also leaves behind two brothers Tom Hoglund (Hilary) of Big Lake, MN and Steve Hoglund of Monticello, MN; and a sister Sharon Jerabek of Lutsen, MN.

Ardyce enjoyed gardening and watching birds. She also loved to sew and quilt, and was an avid reader.
