Dorothy Mae Peterson, of Rush City, formerly of Braham, died on Monday, July 24, 2017 at the U of M Hospital. She was 86 years old.
MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Braham Ev. Lutheran Church in Braham.
VISITATION will one hour prior to the funeral on Wednesday at the church.
INURNMENT will be at Rice Lake Cemetery.
Dorothy Peterson, 86, of Rush City, MN passed away peacefully on Monday, July 24th at the University of Minnesota hospital.
Dorothy Mae Peterson was born on June 13, 1931 in Iowa the sixth child of Oscar and Ellen Hanson. She moved with her family to Braham, MN and graduated from Braham High School in 1949. Dorothy married E. Warren Peterson in 1965 and together they raised one daughter, Nancy on the Hanson family farm. During her life, she worked for the State of MN Driver’s License Bureau, Peterson family farm and her last position was with Plastech.
Dorothy loved sewing for family and friends, baking yeast rolls, gardening everything and couponing for all the prizes.
Dorothy Mae Peterson is survived by her granddaughter, Alysha Peterson of Zimmerman, MN; great-granddaughter Sophia; brother Milford Hanson of Pine City, MN; and other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years E. Warren Peterson; daughter, Nancy Ellen Peterson; one brother, Clifford and her three sisters, Elsie, Viola and Milly.
