Dora married Robert Eugene Magaard on April 12, 1952 at the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Willmar. To this union, seven children were born. They moved to Day, Minnesota in 1956. After retiring, Dora was elected to the Braham School Board and served until they moved to Mora in 1997, when her husband Robert retired from farming. They enjoyed many years on the Ann River watching wildlife and fishing.
She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Ogilvie, MN. She loved reading, crafts, singing in the church choir and quilting every Tuesday at church until August of 2012 when she moved to Sterling Pointe Senior Living in Princeton, MN. Dora was a wonderful wife, sister, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will truly be missed by all who knew her.
