Duane “Dewey” Fladebo, of Roseville, MN, formerly of Mora/Isle area, died on May 30, 2017. He was 85 years old.
FUNERAL SERVICE will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at Akkerman-Ingebrand Chapel in Mora.
VISITATION will be held one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
INTERMENT will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Mora.
Duane “Dewey” L. Fladebo, formerly of Isle, Minnesota, passed away peacefully at his home in Roseville, Minnesota, on May 30, 2017, with his wife and son at his side. He was 85 years old.
Dewey is survived by his wife of 39 years, Ruth Fladebo; children, Brian (Mai) Fladebo, Tammy (Hamid) Maidi, Danny (Joan) Fladebo, Cindy (Eddie) Lyback, Becky (Scott) Allen, and Randy Fladebo; grandchildren, Nesrine, Hanan, Todd, Lisa, Jeremy, Andrea, Ben, Hannie, Angela, Adam, and Nicolle; and many great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Helen Fladebo of Mora, and nephews, Jeff (Michelle), Jay (Becky), and Mark; as well as many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Harold and Theresa; brother Loren; and daughter-in-law Laurie.
Dewey was born in Hinckley, Minnesota. He was a 1949 graduate of Isle High School and served in the United States Army from 1951-1953. After retiring from Dayton’s in 1994 where he worked as a boiler engineer, he volunteered as a driver for Mille Lacs County until 2005. Dewey enjoyed fishing and hunting and spoke often of his time with his sons at “deer camp”.
