VISITATION will be on hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church.

Sharon Ann Steeves of Mora, Minnesota, passed away on April 25, 2017 at Kanabec Hospital in Mora. She was 74 years old.
Sharon was born in Braham on December 13, 1942 to Harold and Lucille (Ebeling) Sundstrom. She grew up on the farm with her three brothers and younger sister going to the small country school until her teens.

She then married the boy next door, George Steeves Jr. on August 15, 1959. They raised their children on their farm until he passed in 1992. She enjoyed cooking which led her to her years as a cook at a few local restaurants. But her passion was for her family and her gardening. Even when doctors told her to quit gardening, she refused to give up her flowers. Family road trips to see family out of state created special memories for her. She loved it when she had the opportunity to be a “snow bird” for a few years after retirement. But she was always happy to return to her family in the spring.

She lost her independence to Parkinson’s disease and spent her remaining years living with her daughter’s family being her caregivers. Sharon was a wonderful and loving Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. She will be missed greatly, but remembered with a smile with all the wonderful memories she created.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, her husband George Steeves Jr., one sister, Nona Oquist and her children Gene, Bradlee, Galen and Ann Steeves.

Sharon is survived by her children Gerry & Barb Steeves, Gloria & Craig Kangas, Glenn & Becky Steeves, and George Steeves III; thirteen grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, three brothers Lee & Sheryl Sundstrom, Leslie Sundstrom and Lyle Sundstrom and many other family members.

My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. “He will swallow death forever, and the Sovereign Lord God will wipe away the tears from all faces.” Revelation 21: 4 “He wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” My heartfelt condolences and prayers for family and friends.
