Andrea Lobdell, of Waite Park, formerly of Ogilvie, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, October 17, 2016 at her home. She was 33 years old.
MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Ogilvie.
MEMORIAL VISITATION will be held from 5-7 pm on Friday, October 21, 2016 at the Akkerman Ingebrand Funeral Home in Mora and 1 hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church.
INURNMENT will be in the Oakwood Cemetery in Mora.
Andrea Gail Lobdell passed away October 17, 2016 at her home in Waite Park, MN at the age of 33 years.
Andrea was born May 10, 1983 at the Kanabec Hospital in Mora, MN to Michael and Gail (Dressel) Lobdell of Ogilvie, MN. She was the second of three daughters. Andrea was baptized on July 10, 1983 and later confirmed on April 27, 1997 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Ogilvie. She attended Ogilvie Public Schools and was involved in music and sports. As a teenager she worked at the Pizza Hut restaurant in Mora. She was active in Kanabec county 4-H from grade school through high school showing rabbits and other projects. She won trips to the Minnesota State Fair with her rabbits.
After graduating high school in 2001 she enrolled in the Graphic Design course at Alexandria Technical College and received an AA degree in graphic design. She was employed by Sunshine Printing of Cambridge and Kanabec Publications of Mora working as a graphic designer. She moved to the St. Cloud area when she landed a job at the St. Cloud Times. She was very proud of her work, particularly her car ad designs. She won several Minnesota Newspaper Association awards for her work as well as several “employee of the month” awards. She worked for the St. Cloud Times for several years before taking a position with Rengel Printing where she worked until her death.
Andrea loved her family, especially her nieces and nephew, Lauryn, Ava and Jacob. She enjoyed having them stay for “sleepovers” and would arrange walks in Quarry Park or swimming in the pool. She also had several good friends whom she loved spending time with.
Andrea was preceded in death by her grandparents Bob and Pearl Lobdell, Howard and Edith Dressel; and by uncle Bill Lobdell.
She is survived by her parents Mike and Gail Lobdell; sisters Erin (Steve) Showers and Kathleen (Travis) Stromberg; nieces and nephew Lauryn, Ava and Jacob Showers and Baby Stromberg expected to arrive in February; aunts, uncles, cousins, close friends Vanessa, Kristen, Rachel and many others.
