Paul Michael Josul, of Ogilvie, passed away on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at the Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.  He was 60 years old.

Paul was born on October 26, 1955 in Minneapolis, MN to Peter and Mary Jeanne (Schultz) Josul.  He grew up in NE Minneapolis, graduating from Edison High School in 1973.  Paul went on to the Minnesota Vo-Tech School, where he received his welding certification.   Paul began his lifelong career as a welder working for Minneapolis Electric Steel and then Barry Blowers before spending the remainder of his career at Life Fitness.   In June of 1988, Paul met Diane Carda and they were married on October 27, 1990.  They made their home in Columbia Heights and were blessed with twins, Kristina and Nicholas.   In the spring of 2002, the family moved full-time to their home in rural Ogilvie where they continue to live.

Paul loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing.  He liked to spend time in the woods and cutting firewood to keep his family warm.  He was a skilled woodworker and created numerous pieces of furniture for family and friends.  In his younger years, Paul would spend summers on his Grandpa and Grandma Schultz’s farm near Mora which sparked his love of nature.  Growing up in the city, Paul spent many warm days on the golf course with his brother Steve.  Paul enjoyed taking snowmobiling trips with friends.   He was also handy in the kitchen and made homemade noodles, pie crusts, and his mother’s recipe for hardtack.  Paul was a wonderful provider for his wife and children and was always ready to lend a helping hand.   His kind, gentle, and accepting spirit has left us too soon and he will be truly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother Phillip.

Paul is survived by his wife Diane; children Kristina Marie and Nicholas John; brother Steven (Darlene); brothers-in-law, David (Kaye) Carda; Joe (Jaralyn) Carda; and Jeff (Jaunice) Carda; father and mother-in-law Lloyd and Hellen Carda; many nephews, other relatives and friends.
