Andrea was born on January 23, 1944 in Echo, Minnesota to Clifton and LuVerne Johnson. In her childhood, she lived in several countries. She loved to tell stories about her pet lizard who lived behind the fridge, and enjoyed talking about her favorite country, Japan. She spoke of her adventures there with her sisters and parents. Andrea returned to the United States in 1962 and had two children. On June 13, 1970, she married Laurence Goude. Andrea and Larry had 8 children combined. She would always refer to them as “yours, mine, and ours” to everyone who asked about them. While taking care of her children, Andrea also worked at Kellogg Commission as a receptionist for many years.
Laurence and Andrea moved to Mora, Minnesota in 1990. They would go to their cabin in Sauk Centre every-other weekend where Andrea would swim and sun bathe with her children, as well as play her favorite game of Solitaire. Andrea loved to collect figurines of swans, hummingbirds, owls, and her favorite, angels. She loved spending time at home with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Whether it was watching her favorite shows with them, sitting in her swing watching them play on the trampoline, or seeing them swim in the lake, Andrea loved taking care of all of them.
Andrea is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Larry Goude; children, Michael Goude, Dawn Goude-Godlewski, James (Leigh) Goude, Ronald Koczur (Deb Melby), Scott Goude (Jennifer Olmstead), Melissa (Scotty) Ringler, and LaTanya (Gabriel) Morton; 14 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; father, Clifton Johnson; sisters, Lynn Barbatsis; Pamela Johnson, and Theresa Johnson; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
