Roger W. Boie, of Braham, died on Friday, April 29, 2016 at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids.  He was 80 years old.

FUNERAL SERVICE will be held at 10:30 am. on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church in Braham.

VISITATION will be from 5-7 pm. Tuesday at Rock-Ingebrand Funeral Home in Braham and one hour prior to the service at church on Wednesday.

INTERMENT will be in Rice Lake Cemetery, Braham, MN

Roger William Boie, of Braham, MN passed away on Friday, April 29, 2016 at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids, MN. He was 80 years old.

Roger was born on April 25, 1936 in Belgrade, MN, the son of John and Eleanor (Quisberg) Boie. He grew up on the family farm in Belgrade, MN with his 10 siblings and attended rural school. He later married and moved to Minneapolis, Coon Rapids and Andover to start his family, including sons Steven, Daniel, Michael and Robert.

In 1978, Roger established R.B. Painting and Metal Finishing which continues to flourish today in Blaine, MN. He moved to Braham, MN in 1990, where he lived and expanded his family to include daughter, Faith. Roger developed a passion for farming, as demonstrated by numerous cattle and John Deere tractors. He enjoyed deer hunting at his property in Braham, fishing at his cabin on Knife Lake, traveling and most of all, spending time with his beloved family. Roger joined and attended St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church in Braham where he made many wonderful friendships.

Roger is preceded in death by his parents, sisters Elaine Rose and Muriel Dixon.

He is survived by children, Steven (Shannon), Daniel, Michael, Robert, and Faith (Eric) Schoenecker; 4 brothers; 4 sisters; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
