Carol Dahlberg-Anderson, of Mora, MN died on Friday, March 25, 2016 at her home. She was 70 years old.
FUNERAL SERVICE will be held on Friday, April 1, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at Elim Lutheran Church (20971 Olinda Trail N- Scandia, MN).
VISITATION will one hour prior to the service from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. on Friday at the church.
INTERMENT will be at the South Elim Lutheran Cemetery in Scandia.
Carol Jane Dahlberg-Anderson, of Mora, formerly of Stacy, passed away on Friday, March 25, 2016 at her home. She was 70 years old.
Carol was born on November 23, 1945 in Rich Hill, Missouri to parents Arthur Merle and Rosalene Verdean (Kiger) Barker. On January 27, 1962, Carol was united in marriage to Carl Dahlberg in West Covina California. They were blessed with six children. After living in several different areas around the country, Carol and Carl settled in Stacy to raise their family. Carol worked as a waitress at the Rainbow Café in Lindstrom and the Flare in Forest Lake for many years. After Carl’s death in 1997, Carol remained in the Stacy area. She later met Sherwood “Woody” Anderson and they were married on May 29, 1999 in Nevada, Missouri. In 2006, Carol and Woody moved to Mora to be closer to her family. When Woody died in 2011, Carol continued to live with her son Curtis in Mora until her death.
Carol loved her family. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed playing cards and games, Domino’s- Mexican Train was her favorite. She loved her animals, especially her beloved dogs. Carol was always ready to help anyone in need and will be remembered for her kind and generous soul. She will be dearly missed.
Carol is preceded in death by her parents, first husband Carl, second husband Sherwood, brothers, Larry Barker and Allen Eugene Barker, and sister Nola Barker.
She is survived by her children, Carla Dunsmore, Carolyn Johnson, Carl Dahlberg, Lisa (Pat) Rhine, Curtis Dahlberg, and Douglas Dahlberg; 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; sisters, Evelyn Boyd and Sharlene Sisson; brother Thomas (Donna) Barker; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
