Lucille “Lucy” Fredin, of the Rush Lake area, passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2016 at her home. She was 82 years old.
MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at the Calvary Evangelical Lutheran Church at Rush Point with Rev. Keith Kolzow officiating..
MEMORIAL VISITATION will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
INURNMENT will be in the Calvary Lutheran Cemetery at Rust Point.
Lucille “Lucy” D. Fredin, of the Rush Lake area, was called to her heavenly father on Sunday, March 20, 2016. She was 82 years old.
Lucille, lovingly known as “Sis” was born on August 8, 1933 in Braham, Minnesota to Fred and Frieda (Gutzkow) Grell. She graduated from Braham High School. On January 18, 1952, she was united in marriage to Kenneth Fredin in St. Paul, MN. They made their home on the shores of Rush Lake, where she continued to live until her passing. Sis was a lifelong member of the Calvary Ev. Lutheran church. She loved to play cards, especially the Tuesday games with her sisters. Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who held her dear.
She is survived by children, Deb (Bob) Engberg, Cindy (Joe)Ledford, Randy, and Danny (Kelly) Fredin; grandchildren, Jay (April), Tammi (Brant), Troy (Shauna), David (Crystal), Mike (Chelsey), Shelby, and Emma; great grandchildren, Delaney, Avery, Derek, and Paige; sisters, Janice, Butchie, Katen (Tom), and Sandy (Ross); brothers, Kenny (Bethie), Carly (Ellie), and Mel (Kendal); sister-in-law Ramona; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Lucy is preceded in death by her parents Fred and Frieda Grell; husband Kenny; son Jim; and brothers, Duane, Gordy, Wes, and Genie.
