L. Johnson webLydia Johnson, of Grasston, MN, died on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at her home.  She was 86 years old.

FUNERAL SERVICE will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at Rock-Ingebrand Funeral Home in Braham.

VISITATION will be one hour prior to the service, from 1:00-2:00 P.M., on Saturday at the funeral home.

INTERMENT will be at Grasston Union Cemetery.

Lydia Hertha Johnson, 86, of Grasston, MN passed peacefully at home on Wednesday, March 2, 2016.

Lydia, daughter of Emil and Hulda (Malkow) Lange, was born on December 23, 1929 in Boyd, MN.  She grew up in the Henriette area and attended the Sunnyside Country School.
Lydia was united in marriage to Wilfred Johnson on April 20, 1951.  They made their lifelong home in Grasston.

Throughout Lydia’s life she was a homemaker, worked as a volunteer Grandma at Braham Elementary School, was a dishwasher at some café’s in Mora, and worked at Plastech in Rush City and General Fab in Pine City.  She enjoyed when her grandchildren and great-grandchildren would come and visit.  She also enjoyed visiting with friends and neighbors.  Her hobbies were embroidery and watching the birds come to the feeders.  She was very kind-hearted and she will be deeply missed by her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Wilfred; son Russell; grandson Dustin Johnson; great-grandsons Allen Kelling and Conrad Johnson; sister Clara Olin; brother Earl Lange.

She is survived by her children Joan (Ken) Fiedler of Braham, Bernice Johnson, Ralph Johnson, Violet (Darcy) Gardner, Willard Johnson all of Grasston; nine grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; brother Leroy (Mary) Lange, sister Dorothy (Doug) Olsen all of Mora; plus nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
