Jeffrey Slade, of Ogilvie, passed away on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at the University of Minnesota Medical Center in Minneapolis.  He was 45 years old.

In keeping with Jeff’s wishes, no service are being held.

Jeffrey Dale Slade of Ogilvie, MN passed away on January 27, 2016.  He was 45 years old.
Jeff was born October 25, 1970 in Orlando, Florida to Ralph and Rosa (Williams) Slade.  His family moved often but he spent most of his school years in Texas.  He received his welding certification and began his career working in power plants throughout Texas.  He began working at Cummins Power Generation in Fridley, Minnesota in 1994.  He was employed by Cummins for 20 years until December of 2014 when his illness no longer allowed him to work.
Jeff lived with Renee Harless and her children Ronald, Barbara, Ashley and Michael from 1990-2005.  He lived with Alaina Lee and her children Jesse and Lilly from 2007 until his passing.  He was loved and supported by Alaina’s extended family as well.
Jeff loved muscle cars, motorcycles and anything with speed.  In better health he was a body builder.  He loved dogs and his loyal companion, Zoe the pug, was by his side until the end.  She visited him in the hospital many times providing him entertainment and comfort.
Jeff was preceded in death by his grandparents and father.
Jeff is survived by significant other and loving caregiver, Alaina Lee, her children, Jesse and Lilly Lee; and extended family Dave and Sandy Halvorson; Angie, Ben, Maizy and Beau Burk; Aaron, Kim, Landen, Ava and Sophie Halvorson; Adam Halvorson.  He is also survived by sister Theresa (Matt) Berg; special uncle and aunt Troy and Geri Slade; 4 nieces; a half-sister Monica Slade; his mother and many friends.
