PRIVATE FAMILY INTERMENT will be in the Maple Ridge Free Cemetery in rural Braham.

Keith A. McChesney, age 53, of Elk River, MN; passed away Monday July 13, 2015 at his home after battling pancreatic cancer over the last several months. 

Keith was born December 23, 1961 in Mpls MN, the youngest of 5 children to Jim and Delores McChesney.   A graduate of Anoka Sr. High in 1980. Keith was a metal worker most of his life and loved to play his guitar, have jam sessions with his friends and listen to music. Keith had a contagious Cheshire grin and sparkly blue eyes which made you wonder if he was up to something. Keith will be greatly missed by his family and friends. 

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Survived by siblings, Debbie (Chuck) Lawrence of Tucson AZ; Mark McChesney of Elk River MN; Sandy (Craig) Sundermeyer of Stanchfield MN; and Kevin (Tuyet) McChesney of Big Lake, MN. M;  niece Michaela (Ryan) Mead; nephews, Jesse McChesney, Alex Welcome & Tai Dang; nieces, Pam Ostrowski, Sherry Robideau and Charlotte Lawrence; longtime girlfriend and best friend Dawn Walgrave of Crystal, MN; many other relatives and friends.

A Private graveside service and burial was held at Maple Ridge Evangelical Free Church Cemetery Stanchfield, MN.

Special word of thanks and appreciation to Keith’s brother Mark for everything he has done for Keith over the last several years and being there for Keith during his illness with cancer. Also a special thank you to Dawn Walgrave for being there to support Keith and the family during this difficult time that Keith was going through. Her kindness and love for him will never be forgotten

  1. I will miss my little brother so much! In spite of the cancer, it was so nice spending time with brother Keith and Mark and Kevin and all the other friends and relatives that came to see Keith. Dawn was so good to be there for him and the rest of us, they made such a cute couple! I will hold onto my memories of children growing up, teens getting into trouble and adults with heart aches and broken dreams but always staying together as a family. Keith had a beautiful service and is layed to rest in a beautiful place with his soul looking down on us from heaven. RIP Love you always Sandy

  3. Keith A.K.A. Shadoshi, I will miss you good friend . I will never forget the good times. N look past the 1 or 2 bad times. I know your in a better place and the pain is OVER with. I wish I could of said goodbye in a different way. But, I will. I will find you and say my peace w/ good friend Guido. Love yah brother. Also …… Mark he really spoke Highly of you and appreciated all you did for him. He loved u man. Love yah Keith you will b missed
