FUNERAL SERVICE will be held at 11:00 am. on Wednesday, May 13 at Grace Lutheran Church in Mora.  Rev. Kate Schruba will be officiating.

VISITATION will be one hr. prior to the service on Wednesday at the Church.

INTERMENT will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Mora, MN

John Daniel Danielson, of Mora, died peacefully on Friday, May 8, 2015 at St. Clare Living Community in Mora.  He was 79 years old.

John was born on March 23, 1936 to parents Devan and Mabel (Field) Danielson in McGrath, Minnesota.   John was united in marriage to Althea Moen on March 20, 1971 and the couple lived in Minneapolis for a short time before moving to Mora. 

John was a mechanic by trade and was a member of the Operating Engineers Local 49 and the Sons of Norway.  After retirement, he enjoyed working in his shop.

John was preceded in death by his parents and sister Doris Doyle.

He is survived by his wife Althea; son Tracy (Caren) Danielson; daughter Denise Danielson; grandson Nathan Danielson; and great granddaughter Joslyn Danielson; cousins, other relatives and friends

A funeral service was held on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at Grace Lutheran Church with Rev. Kate Schruba.  Music was provided by Betty Smith.  Casket Bearers were Charles Danielson, Larry Danielson, Wayne Danielson, Warren Heikes, Neal Jones, and William Leppanon.  Interment was in the Oakwood Cemetery in Mora.  Arrangements are by the Akkerman Ingebrand Funeral Home of Mora.  Condolences may be posted at www.aifuneralhome.com

  1. I’m sad to see that John has passed on , We became friends in 1972 , A friendship that lasted all this time . John was always ready to have a cup of coffee . And always had a story to tell . He loved talking about his old Tractors . R I P John /Old Friend
