W. Rask webphoto2Willard L. Rask, of rural Braham, died on Saturday, March 14, 2015 at home.  He was 91 years old.

FUNERAL SERVICE will be held at 11:00 am. on Thursday, March 19 at Siloa Lutheran Church with Rev. Dan Olson officiating.

VISITATION will be on Wednesday, March 18 from 4-7 pm at the Rock-Ingebrand Funeral Home in Braham and one hr. prior to the service at the church.

INTERMENT will be in Siloa Lutheran Church Cemetery.

Willard Leland Rask died at home surrounded by family and friends, on March 14, 2015. He was 91 years old.

Willard was born to Eric and Bessie (Oslin) Rask on October 21, 1923, near the town of Stacy in Chisago County, MN. He attended rural schools and Cambridge High School. He did farm work for area farmers. At age 16, Willard joined the CC Camp at Elfie, MN. Following CC Camp he moved to Eau Claire, WI where he met Dorothy Strassman. They married on Dec. 25, 1944 and had four children together. After Dorothy passed, Willard met Florence Lindquist. They were married by Chuck Lindquist on July 29, 1977. That union brought 8 step-children into his family.

Willard enjoyed camping and hunting with his family. He also enjoyed going to auctions and listening to Polka music. Willard and Florence had a cabin near Warba and they enjoyed many good times there. They were members of Siloa Lutheran Church.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Dorothy; daughter, Jane; sisters Hazel and Mildred; brother, Cliff; step-son, Randy; and step-son in law, Lyle Peterson.

Willard will be missed by his wife, Florence; children, Mary (Dean) Morrison, Bill (Kay) Rask, Pete (Karen) Rask; son-in-law Mark Hansen; step-children, Larry (Mary) Lindquist, Dave (Berta) Lindquist, Chuck (Betty) Lindquist, Judy (Gale) Dawson, Cindy Peterson, Donald (Vicki) Lindquist, Debbie (Dewy) Reynolds; 7 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, 18 step-grandchildren, 30 step great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service was held, March 19, 2015 at Siloa Lutheran church. The service was officiated by Pastor Dan Olson. Music was provided by the Siloa Singers. Pallbearers were Jeremy Morrison, Luke Morrison, Jesse Rask, Brandon Evan, Troy Hillman and Dean Morrison. Interment was at Siloa Lutheran Church Cemetery. Arrangements were made by Rock – Ingebrand Funeral and Cremation Service of Braham.

Yes, he will give you the needed strength to continue on. Please find some help and comfort from this fact in your time of need.
