D. DeWitt webDorothy De Witt, of Mora, formerly of Minneapolis, died on Sunday, January 18, 2015 at Eastwood Senior Living in Mora.  She was 83 years old.

FUNERAL SERVICE will be held on Thursday, January 22 at 11:00 a.m. at Akkerman-Ingebrand Funeral Home in Mora.

VISITATION will be one hour prior to the funeral service on Thursday at the funeral home.

INTERMENT will be at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery in Mpls.

Dorothy E. De Witt (nee Baker) passed away on January 18, 2015 at Eastwood Senior Living in Mora Minnesota.  She was 83 years old.

Dorothy (nicknamed Dottie) was born December 27, 1931 to James and Florence (Whiteman) Baker of Hastings, Minnesota. 

For many years she worked in the Food Service Industry and in her later working years was a Residential Manager in the Minneapolis area until she retired in 1996 and moved to the Mora area. 

 She loved cooking and sewing and she also enjoyed fishing and hunting.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Duane, her sons Wayne and Robin Grosklags;  brothers Walter, Glenn and Floyd Baker; sister Audrey Seaton.

She is survived by daughters Victoria (James) Anderson and Deborah Grosklags; 4 grandchildren Mark, Lisa, James and Geoff (Heidi) Masters; 5 great grandchildren Austin Drew, Reid, Ashley , Austin Lee Masters and Drew Dahlberg;  sisters Betty Jane Erickson and Roberta (Michael) Taube; brother James (Marge) Baker;  sister-in-law Maxine Baker; many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

She will be in our hearts forever.

Funeral service was held on Thursday, January 22 at Akkerman-Ingebrand Funeral Home in Mora.  Chaplin Todd Carlson officiated.  Pallbearers were Mark Masters, James Masters, Geoff Masters, Austin Masters, Scott Williams and James Anderson.  Interment was at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery in Mpls.  Arrangements were handled by Akkerman-Ingebrand Funeral Home.

  2. I always enjoyed visiting your mom at Eastwood through my work with Hospice. I am so sorry to hear of her passing. Blessings to all of you.
