June E. Petrin of Mora, died on Friday, Jan. 2, 2015 at First Light Health System in Mora. She was 73 years old.
FUNERAL SERVICE will be held at 11:00 am on Wed., Jan 7, 2015 at Grace Lutheran church in Mora with Rev. Douglas Larson officiating.
VISITATION will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 6 from 5-7 pm. from the Akkerman-Ingebrand Funeral Home and one hr. prior to the service on Wednesday.
INTERMENT will be in the Oakwood Cemetery, Mora, MN
June Ellen Petrin, of Mora, died on Friday, January 2, 2015 at the FirstLight Health System in Mora. She was 73 years old.
June was born on July 1, 1941 to James and Annie (Kral) Tatro at their home near Warman, Minnesota. She was the youngest of five children. When she was four months old, the family moved to a farm west of Mora. June attended the district 64 country school thru the sixth grade until it was consolidated with Mora Schools. She attended Mora High School, graduating in June of 1959.
In July of 1959, June was united in marriage to John Petrin from Onamia, at the Grace Lutheran Church in Mora. To this union two children were born, Timothy and Tracy.
Some of June’s hobbies included, sewing, embroidery, bowling, golfing, and reading. June’s children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren were very special to her and she enjoyed many happy times with them.
June is preceded in death by her parents, husband John in 2009, and brother Harvey Tatro.
She is survived by her children, Tracy Fore (Fiancé Chris) of Mora and Tim Petrin of St. Cloud; grandsons, Jeremy, Jacob, and Jesse (Fiancé Bri) Fore of Mora; great grandchildren, Bryce and Larissa Fore and Noah Fore; brother, Richard Tatro of Florida; sisters, Donna Johnson of California and Agnes Bankers of Mora; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at Grace Lutheran Church in Mora with Rev. Douglas Larson officiating. Music was provided by Betty Smith. Interment was in the Oakwood Cemetery in Mora. Arrangements made by the Akkerman Ingebrand Funeral Home of Mora.
