E. Sharpe webphotoEdmund Sharpe died on Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at Eastwood Senior Living in Mora.  He was 92 years old.

MEMORIAL SERVICE will be at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, December 2 at Akkerman-Ingebrand Chapel in Mora.

VISITATION will be one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Edmund Thomas Sharpe, age 92, of Mora, MN formerly of Princeton, MN died on Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at Eastwood Senior Living in Mora.

He was born August 29, 1922 in Minneapolis MN to Waldemar and Frances (Brame) Sharpe.  He served in the U. S.Army from 1942-46 during WWII. 

He worked at Northwest Airlines as an airplane mechanic from 1948-1984.  On June 16, 1980 he married Dorothy Stromberg at the Wicklund farm in Brunswick, MN.  Dorothy passed away in 2008.

Edmund was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife Melba (Marcella) Sharpe and his second wife Dorothy (Passehl Stromberg) Sharpe; brothers Wally and Bob; sister Louise.

He is survived by a son Greg Sharpe of Maine; stepchildren Marilyn (Sheldon) Mork of White Bear Lake, Janice (Roger) Gale of Princeton, Steve Stromberg of Ogilvie, David (Carrie) Stromberg of Ogilvie, Kathy Stromberg of St. Joseph, Randy (Julie) Stromberg of Ogilvie; 19 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Service was held on Tues. December 2, 2014  at Akkerman-Ingebrand Funeral Home in Mora with Mike Norton officiating.  Inurnment will be at a later date at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Brunswick, MN.  Akkerman-Ingebrand Funeral Home.  www.aifuneralhome.com

  2. I am very sorry for your family’s loss. Please take comfort in the promise God makes in the Bible at Revelation 21:3, 4 where it says “he will wipe out every tear from their eyes and death will be no more.” I have drawn much comfort from this and hope you can draw comfort as well.

    I am so sorry for your loss of Uncle Ed. i love him dearly and have many wonderful memories of the farm and Ed’s great smile and hugs!
