Caroline was born on September 20, 1924, the daughter of Ador and Regina (Lodien) Olson. She grew up and attended country schools in various communities in the Isanti vicinity (Blomford, Bodum & finally Isanti itself). There was also a short time spent in Big Fork, MN. She graduated from Cambridge High School in 1942. After graduation she held various clerical jobs including the WWII Isanti County Rationing Office, an insurance agency in Minneapolis, and the Isanti Bank.
On June 19, 1953 she married Kenneth Peterson and they resided in Braham where she spent many years as a homemaker raising her four children. In later years she worked in the Braham School District cafeteria until her retirement. She was long time active member of the Stanchfield Baptist Church – serving as church treasurer, choir member, and deaconess among other roles. She was a founding and active member of Industries, Inc. and active in the Pine-Kanabec ARC.
Following her husband’s death in 2004 she moved to Ashland Place in Cambridge where she resided for a number of years before moving to Gracepointe Crossings.
