Nicholas “Nick” Anderson, of Ogilvie, formerly of St. Francis, died on Tuesday, Aug. 26th, 2014 at his home after a courageous 5 year battle with cancer. He was 25 years old.
MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 30th at Calvary Lutheran Church in Mora. Rev. Bob DeYoung will officiate.
MEMORIAL VISITATION will be on Friday, August 29 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Akkerman-Ingebrand Funeral Home in Mora; plus 1 hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church.
Nicholas “Nick” James Anderson, age 25, of Ogilvie, MN (formerly of St. Francis) passed away peacefully at home after a courageous 5 year battle with cancer.
Nick was born April 3, 1989 in St. Louis Park, MN to Kraig J. Anderson and Michelle R. Nelson. He graduated from St. Francis High School and then worked as a security guard at Grand Casino and also worked at Cub Foods Blaine where he had many dear friends.
Nick had many hobbies and interests which included cars, sports, snowmobiling and 4 wheeling, and watching Judge Judy and ESPN. He loved traveling with his grandparents, cousins and brother and had traveled to many places including Mexico, California, Alaska, Arizona and Las Vegas. He also loved going to Dawson, MN with his dad’s family hunting.
Nick had a great sense of humor and passionately loved his family and friends. He was especially close to his cousins and lived for his nephew Lukas.
Nick is survived by his loving parents Kraig (Kim) Anderson-Mora, Michelle (David) Nelson-Ogilvie; best friend and beloved brother Tyler Anderson-Ogilvie, treasured stepbrothers Brian and Bryce Nelson-Ogilvie; the light of his life, Lukas John Anderson-Ogilvie; grandparents James and Beverly Patrick-Superior; many beloved aunts and uncles, and much loved cousins Mike (Jamie) Peckham-Rogers, Kalli Peckham-Fargo, Matt and Travis Anderson-Ramsey, Zack and Katie Postal-Duluth.
Nick is preceded in death by his beloved grandparents Marge and Gene Anderson.
