LaVina Elaine Nelson was born January 15th 1933 to Elmer and Amy Stenberg. She married Clifford Nelson on April 26th 1953. They resided in Rock Creek, and later moved to West Rock and then back to Rock Creek, where they raised beef cattle. In 1966 they bought a farm in Braham where they milked cows and planted crops. They raised 7 children while on the farm. Lavina enjoyed growing her strawberries and raising chickens to sell the eggs. She loved Country and Polka music. She could play the accordian and organ by ear and was known to entertain many people with her music. If she didn’t know a song she would ask you to sing it for her and then she would play it back. She was a very talented lady. She loved to talk about her birds, flower gardens and her 21 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren. LaVina was a wonderful and giving wife and mother. We will miss her beautiful smile and her funny wit.
