GE DIGITAL CAMERASylvia Rodenborg, of Kawkawlin Michigan, formerly of Mora,  died on Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at her home in Michigan.  She was 92 years old.

FUNERAL SERVICE will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, May 5th at Quamba Baptist Church with Rev. Ivan Fiske officiating.

VIVSTATION will be from 2:00-5:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 4th at Akkerman-Ingebrand Funeral Home in Mora.

INTERMENT will be at Rice Lake Cemetery in Braham.

Sylvia Rosalee Rodenborg, Kawkawlin, Michigan, formerly of Mora, Minnesota, went home to be with the Lord on April 29, 2014, at the age of 92.

She was born October 26, 1921, in Isanti County, MN to the late Karl E. and Laura (Benson) Parson. On October 6, 1946, she married Lyman J. Rodenborg in Brunswick Baptist Church, and after 63 years of marriage, he preceded her in death on June 19, 2010. She was a member of Quamba Baptist Church, and Grasston Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for many years. She was a retired homemaker, farm wife, and professional seamstress.

Surviving her are her three sons: Gordon (Beth) of Kawkawlin, MI; Merle (Jean) of Mikado, MI; Reuben (Kathy) of Finlayson, MN; a daughter, Ruth Johnson of New Hope, MN; and three brothers, Wayne (Carol) Parson, Jean (Lois) Parson, Donald (Judy) Parson, sisters-in-law Marjorie Parson, Caroline Parson, Muriel Kennedy, and Betty Rodenborg. Also surviving are 4 granddaughters: Amanda Rodenborg, Naomi (Alex) Held, Alyssa Johnson, and Kirsten Johnson, and one great granddaughter, Amaya Rodenborg, many beloved nieces, nephews, and numerous friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her mother and father-in-law Golda (Purdy) and Henry Rodenborg; her sisters & brothers-in-law Muriel & Zenus Bicking, Ardis & Lloyd Wilkening, brothers Merwyn and Emery Parson, brothers-in-law Harold and Everette Rodenborg, Emil Mattkins, Johnny Danielson, Clifford Anderson, and sister-in-law Lois Anderson.

Funeral Service was held on Monday, May 5th at Quamba Baptist Church with Rev. Ivan Fiske officiating.  Pallbearers were Gaylen Bicking, Merlin Bicking, Michael Parson, Leighton Wilkining, Ivan Rodenborg and Donavon Stromberg.  Honorary pallbearer was Lonnie Bicking.  Interment was at Rice Lake Cemetery in Braham.  Arrangements were handled by Akkerman-Ingebrand Funeral Home.  Condolences may be posted at www.aifuneralhome.com.
